From 24 to 30 November 2024, two subject matter experts (SMEs) from the NATO Mountain Warfare Centre of Excellence (NATO MW COE) participated in the Taiga Winter Camp. This unique training event took place in the heart of the Swedish Lapland, just beyond the Arctic Circle. Known for its pristine wilderness and unforgiving climate, this region offers an unparalleled opportunity to master cold-weather operations.
