Keeping defibrillator training up to date

On 18 January 2019, members of NATO MW COE took part in a refresher First Aid training course on the use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

An SME from the Slovenian Military Medical Unit shared his knowledge on how to use a defibrillator with full confidence and as swiftly as possible in the event of a serious emergency. The course focused on how to quickly identify symptoms, unpack the defibrillator, accurately apply it and then use it without hesitation to maximise the casualty’s chance of survival.

The NATO MW COE has its own defibrillator, and for this reason an annual refresher course is recommended.[envira-gallery id=”2318″]
