Visit by the Ambassador of the United States of America

On 7 October 2020, the US Ambassador to the Republic of Slovenia, Her Excellency Lynda C. Blanchard, paid a visit to the NATO MW COE, accompanied by Defence Attaché LTC Ben Shaha.
The visit was hosted by the Director of the NATO Mountain Warfare Centre of Excellence (MW COE), COL Borut Flajšman, who shared a short presentation on the MW COE, its past development and the way forward. The presentation was followed by a dynamic exercise to demonstrate its capabilities and skills.
The Director expressed his gratitude to the United States of America for its past cooperation with the Centre. In addition, he said that the COE would like to set up the grounds for further cooperation and to intensify the engagement of the USA with the NATO MW COE. With this aim in mind, the COE will explore possible new ways and opportunities to share subject matter expertise in a variety of projects and activities.
At the end Her Excellency expressed her thanks for the wonderful partnership, and stated that the work done at the MW COE is critical to the NATO Alliance.[envira-gallery id=”3419″]
