Avalanche Risk Management Workshop
The Avalanche Risk Management Workshop was held at the NATO MW COE in Poljče, Slovenia, from 19th to 22nd March 2018. Subject Matter Experts from six NATO Nations and a Partner Nation provided expertise in order to address a unified approach towards risk assessment, risk mitigation and protective measures for snow avalanche dangers in the mountains. Furthermore, a related capabilities requirements have been identified.
This will increase the situational awareness, planning and execution capabilities and ensure interoperability of multinational units participating in a particular avalanche terrain during NATO-led operations.[envira-gallery id=”1363″]
