COUNTER-UAV – advanced detection and defense systems

COUNTER-UAV – advanced detection and defense systems

Between the 10th and 11th of September, a representative of the Doctrine and Standardization Branch had the opportunity to attend a seminar organized by “Drone Passion” (https://drone-passion.at)  Counter UAV. In recent years, Drone Passion has focused on the use and defense of drones in a wide range of applications, reflecting the growing importance of UAV technology in modern industries.

During the two-day seminar, a variety of innovative drone defense solutions were presented. Participants were introduced to a number of advanced detection and defense systems, with presentations detailing their features and capabilities. What made the seminar particularly engaging was the hands-on aspect, as attendees were able to test the equipment in real-world scenarios.

In addition to counter-drone technologies, the latest UAV models from “Nordic Drones” ( https://nordicdrones.fi/en) were unveiled. These cutting-edge drones, designed specifically for military and law enforcement use, are compliant with the stringent MIL-STD-810G standards, ensuring they meet the high durability and performance requirements of these fields. The seminar featured live demonstrations of these UAVs in simulated operational environments, providing insight into their practical applications and effectiveness in real-time missions

The event provided valuable insights into the future of UAVs and drone defense, as well as an opportunity to explore the latest innovations in the field, reaffirming the growing relevance of drone technology in both the military and civilian sectors.

This knowledge will also be incorporated into the UAV workshop here at the NAT MW CEO from 16-19SEP24.
