Aim:
The purpose of the MW Congress is to explore new developments in Mountain Warfare that will lead to significant changes in the way we fight in this specific environment. New technologies are now available (i.e. drones) and their impact is and will be increasingly important. The recent war in Ukraine demonstrates that innovation leads to transformations in doctrine, training, leadership, etc.

For this reason, the conference is a unique and unmissable opportunity to lay out the lines of evolution of Mountain Warfare for 2040.

Objectives:
Organize and conduct a Congress on the topic of “Mountain Warfare 2040”, with theoretical and practical presentations with different formats such as keynotes, lectures, a poster session and practical demonstrations.

The congress will have an integrated industry day to analyse the unique challenges and opportunities presented by high-tech firms, enabling participants to meet companies and enterprises within the MW field of expertise, become acquainted with their latest products and services, and exchange knowledge and experience.
The attendees will be able to see and test the capabilities of new technologies and get a better picture of the future world, in which the next leaders will be able to take full advantage of the new capabilities at their disposal.

Industry Day (Registration Closed):

The Industry Day will be held on October 23. and 24. as a part of the Congress. The companies will have the opportunity to present their products. Static and dynamic presentations are possible. We also offer the opportunity to present your innovations in detail in a short presentation (PPT approx. 15 min.).

Participants are requested to transfer a fee not later than: 11 October 2024.

Please be aware that should the sending bank charge the attendee with potential transfer and/or service fees, they cannot be debited to the NATO MW COE.

On-site cash payment is also possible during the in-processing, however is not recommended.

The receipt for the fee will be provided during in-processing.
