Mountain Risk Management Workshop Summer, Integrating UAV Technology for Operations in Mountainous Environment
Aim:
To conduct a workshop with mountain specialists from military mountain units and related civilian organizations to evaluate recent accidents in mountainous environments with a focus on the summer season ITO gain insights that will be considered in the ATrainP-6, ATP 3.2.1.3 and a separate publication. Develop options for the use of UAS in the decision-making process.

- Identify ways for best practice
- Use of UAS for terrain assessment

As one of the main missions of the NATO MW COE is to suggest improvements and propose amendments to existing doctrines, procedures and standards for subsequent endorsement by the Strategic Commands and/or NATO HQ, the Doctrine & Standardization Branch serves as a tool which analyses existing publications, seeks for incoherence and, when appropriate, provides proposals according to NATO Standardization Process. Based on Lessons Learned, primarily received from operations and exercises, the branch will develop new products, based on expressed needs within the Alliance.
